"Surf Without Borders - OneMillionWaves"
July 30 - August 8, 2010.
Location: Worldwide

Welcome to the 1st "International Surf Without Borders Week": an Open Invitation for
anyone, anywhere, who would like to surf - sponsor One Wave the week of July 30 - August
8 for the benefit of
Doctors Without Borders

How Does It Work? Simple:
1. Surf during the designated week (or thereabouts): Catch One Wave and donate $1.00
to Doctors Without Borders via the
FirstGiving/OneMillionWaves  website.
2.
OR: if you are unable to or don't want surf:  you can "buy/catch" (sponsor) 1 wave merely
by making  a $1.00\wave donation at the
FirstGiving site.

Surfing can be of any kind, and wherever in the world you might happen to be - whether it is
traditional ocean surfing, SUP, body, wake, boogie, skateboard, ski, sail, etc. anything.

OneMillionWaves: 1 person, 1 wave, 1 dollar...
The Dream-Goal: OneMillionWaves @ 1.00/wave = $1,000,000 for Doctors Without Borders.
A $1.00 (1 buck) contribution is all that is suggested - or zero/nothing...just surf & enjoy the
day is great too. The FirstGiving site will accept a $1 credit card transaction.
*However, if you would prefer to make a contribution of more than $1.00, for example $5, you
can always "buy/catch/give" a wave for a friend or two. Then, after you make a contribution
on FirstGiving for your wave(s), just send them an email/Twitter/FB or whatever with a link to
the site letting them know. Or, if you would like to ask a few people to sponsor a couple of
your waves @ $1/wave, that is a possibility also. The point is not to make a race of donating
or collecting as much $ as possible, but rather to appreciate the oceans & waters and
dedicate a wave to help Doctors Without Borders.

Any other ideas, questions, suggestions, or ideas are always welcome.
Feel free to get in touch any time.

Thank for reading,
jon b.
